Allyson Taylor Blog Site

Things came full circle for me this past week when I had the opportunity to work with Dick Goodwin, the University of South Carolina Music Department Chair, Big Band Leader and Trumpeter extraordinaire in the studio!  It is one of the highlights of my career to get to write a horn chart with Dick Goodwin himself.  We worked on “I Wish You Love” for my new album.  I also want to thank John Epps, engineer and Jim Hall and the horn section for a special 3 days at G.E.M. Had a great time in Winnsboro -  Thank you to all the old and new friends who came out to hear me, especially my 3rd grade friends!  Y’all made it an extra special night.   Elfi and Steve, you have done a great job with the 145 Club. www.the145club.com   I always love coming to my hometown to play.  Cary Taylor, thanks for sitting in and rockin’ it with me!
